William G. Buckle (1894-1949)
A successful businessman, Buckle was an enthusiastic amateur member of Sydney Camera Circle during the 1930s and 1940s. He set up a dark room in his home, producing work in the established conventions of the time. His photographs appeared occasionally in The Home magazine and Australian Photography. He often used his family and friends as models for his genre photographs.
