Football Kicking, Moss Vale, New South Wales, c1940. Pair of vintage silver gelatin photographs, 10.6 x 6cm (each).
Illustrated in David Moore. Australian Photographer, Vol. 1, p22. Extremely rare early study of movement when Moore was in his early teens, attempting high speed photography with a normal camera. His inspiration at the time was the "masterly stroboscopic" photograph Wes Fesler Kicking a Football - 1935 by renowned Dr Harold E. Edgerton of MIT, Cambridge, Mass., USA.
