Pictures
the Short Solent IV, which serviced the "glamorous Coral
Route" during 1940s-60s. Flying between Auckland and the
Pacific Islands, it was the enormous success of this tourist
route, which effectively launched TEAL's (Air New Zealand's)
standing as an international airline. The Arunui was the last
of the flying boats for this route.
