Voyage au Pole sud et dans l'Oceanie…, issued by Gide. Jules Dumont d'Urville made his Second Voyage to Australia in 1839: his account was published in 1842 (text), 1846 (Atlas and Views) and 1853 (Natural History Plates), which includes this image. Interestingly, at no time on the Second Voyage did they visit a part of Australia where koalas could have been seen (they visited Port Essington in Northern Australia, Tasmania and Torres Strait), so perhaps the drawing was made on the First Voyage?
