John Degotardi Snr. (Sydney Harbour from North Shore), c. late 1860s-1870s. Albumen paper print, Degotardi Sydney in the plate lower right, two panels: the left inscribed "No. 4" in ink verso, 25.8 x 33.4cm, right inscribed in ink "No. 5" verso, 24.9 x 32.3cm. Minor fading to edges.
View taken from the North Shore, probably from above Berry's Bay, looking towards the south shore. Balls Head appears in the middle foreground on the right, with Goat Island, Morts Bay and Ballast Point on the left.

Norton. (Victorian street scene with carriages), July 1870. Albumen paper print, photographer's name & date inscribed on old mount (attached verso), two panels joined, 28 x 69.7cm (overall). Laid down on acid-free paper. Repaired cracks centre of image. Old touch-ups bottom & right side of image, and centre join. Otherwise a very sharp image.
Even with its condition, this is still a remarkable panorama.
