at this time, where Sydney Boys High School is today in Anzac
Parade.

the terminus for the steam trams which ran from the City to Coogee.
Trams were introduced to the Sydney transport system in 1879
to provide transport for the Sydney International Exhibition.

The Benevolent
Society of NSW's Lying-in Hospital, in George Street, Sydney.
It was the only public hospital available for pregnant women.
The hospital moved to Paddington (The Royal Hospital for Women)
when the government resumed the land for the extension of Central
Railway in 1893.
