c1958-1973. Collection of 28 posters in colour screenprint, one printed on foil paper, some initialled "D.E.M." or "J.C." in image, sizes range from 36.5 x 25.5cm to 61.2 x 51.8cm. Some with crazing and surface loss, stains, missing portions to corners, repaired tears, creases and old folds. All Linen-backed.
The New Theatre moved three times over a 20 year period. The earliest poster in this collection lists the Theatre's first address at Sussex Street, Sydney (1954-1963). The rest of the posters advertise either St Peter's Lane, Darlinghurst (1963-1973) or Newtown (from 1973).
