Dodge background: Owner pre-1950 was Mr G. Binskin of
Sydney (who was the second owner). The car was sold to
Peter Finlay of Canberra in the 1950s for £210, and later
given to his son Bruce in 1969. The car was purchased by
current and fifth owner Josef Lebovic in 1978.

Up until 1968 the car had only done 198,000 miles. It was restored and re-upholstered in 1974 by Bruce Finlay. While the Dodge has been well maintained, it would benefit from a respray. The car comes with a great number spare parts, including an extra motor, tail shafts, radiator, brake drums, gear box spares, etc.

Richards of Adelaide
T.J. Richards & Sons was a highly successful Adelaide-based car body building company which had been Holden’s main competitor since 1922.

For several years T.J. Richards had designed and fitted car bodies to locally made Chrysler vehicles (Plymouth, Dodge and De Soto). Ahead of its competitors, T.J. Richards produced Australia’s first all steel sedan body, marketed in 1937/1938.
