Graham McCarter (1940- ). Born in England, McCarter studied photography at Guildford College, and worked as freelance photographer in England and Australia, mainly in advertising and editorial work, as well as lecturing in photography at Medway College of Design. He has had several exhibitions in Britain, Australia and America, and in 1978 undertook the CSR photography project.
Graham continues to travel extensively and is currently working on a project about Dylan Thomas. He gives dignity to his subjects, ignoring the prosaic and clichéed.
