Strange visitor from another place with viciousness and pettiness far above those of mortal men. Who, disguised as an unfeeling, callous conservative fights a never ending battle for cuts in gov’t spending, injustice and the Liberal way!” From about 1969 artist Rick Amor joined the Australian Labor Party, working as a poster-maker, illustrator and cartoonist to the “Left.” He drew cartoons for Labor Star, the official journal of the Victorian branch of the ALP (from 1975), and for Tribune, the Communist Party organ.
