Extract from Museums Victoria “Named as 'Centaurus' with the British registration G-ADUT, the flying boat was on a goodwill tour of Australian capital cities in January 1938 and visited Melbourne between 13-16 January 1938. This machine was later used by the RAAF as A18-10 and was destroyed during the Japanese air raid on Broome in March 1942 when it was sunk at its mooring by strafing Zero fighters.
