[Portrait Of Three Miners]

1867. Ambrotype, sixth-plate size, in hinged case, date “Aug. 17, 1867” embossed by hand on brass preserver verso, obscured date inscribed on plate verso, 7.5 x 6.3cm (image), 9.4 x 8.2cm (case). Brass preserver slightly loose, case hinge broken, some wear and discolouration to case.

This image has been married together with an old period case and a new backing.
