c1890s. Three albumen paper photographs, stereo card format, two numbered in negative, each with photographers’ line, series title and caption on label affixed to backing verso, 8.2 x 16.2cm (approx. each pair). Slight stains, foxing. Captions read “A ‘Hongi’ or nose-rubbing; The White Terrace, Rotomahana” and “Pink Terrace, destroyed in volcanic eruption, June, 1886.” Photographer’s line reads “Burton Bros, Dunedin.”
