1947. Colour process lithograph, signed and dated in image lower right, 101.2 x 76.5cm. Repaired tears to margins. Linen-backed. McKnight was responsible for the well-known London Underground and London Transport posters. Later in his career he was approached by American Airlines to create a series of posters. They remained his primary client from 1947 until his death in 1954. Ref: Wiki. A large collection of McKnight’s work is held in V&A.
