Rowe Street I, [Sydney, NSW]
1953/2006. Silver gelatin photograph, signed, dated and titled in pencil verso, 35.1 x 40.6cm. Rowe Street, originally named Brougham Place, was renamed for architect Thomas Rowe in 1875. It became a hub for Sydney’s artistic and fashionable set in the mid-twentieth century before it was demolished in 1973 for the building of the MLC centre. Ref: Dictionary of Sydney. Held in SLNSW.
