1954/1997. Silver gelatin photograph, signed, captioned and dated in pencil verso, 24.2 x 16.3cm. The Cruft’s Cat Show in London in 1954 provided a perfect opportunity for Potts to use his storytelling ability with humour. There are no cats in most of these photographs, he focuses instead on the various officials and pet owners as they compete for prizes.
