Eliza Henrietta Dumaresq (1841-1865) was the youngest daughter of William John Dumaresq, public servant and civil engineer to Ralph Darling, Governor of NSW from 1825 to 1831. From 1841 to 1868 Dumaresq and his family lived at Tivoli Estate, now the grounds of Kambala School, Rose Bay, NSW. The Dumaresq family contributed a great deal to public life and civil society and thus have a number of rivers, creeks and streets named after them in NSW and Queensland.
