New Traditionalists is the fourth studio album by the American new wave band Devo. It was originally released in August 1981, on the labels Warner Bros. and Virgin…For this album Devo wore self-described ‘Utopian Boy Scout uniforms’ topped with a ‘New Traditionalist Pomp’—a plastic half-wig modelled on the hairstyle of [President] John F. Kennedy.

“Devo is an American pop band that formed in 1973. The name Devo comes from their concept of ‘de-evolution’—the idea that instead of continuing to evolve, mankind has actually begun to regress, as evidenced by the dysfunction and herd mentality of American society.” Ref: Wiki.
