1910-c1914. Pair of pen and ink illustrations, each captioned in image, one annotated, dated “4/1/10” and signed “Alice I. Downey” in ink verso, 10 x 16cm (approx. each). Slight foxing to edges of paper including image, minor missing portions to edges where removed from notebook. Captions include “To Victoria Barracks [Paddington, NSW]” and “Literature, art, music. Political economy classes: communism, socialism, holmanism and public mesmerism. Theology: Israelites, Cooneyites. Preachers and parliamentarians trained and educated. The Theology Man: now propounds a great thought with the aid and inspiration of a little beer.” Annotation reads “Drummoyne, 4/1/10.
