c1950s. Colour process lithograph, 100 x 70cm. Repaired minor creases, and tears to margins, slight stains to image upper centre. Linen-backed. Text in German and English continues “Graubunden, Schweiz. Farbenphoto Jules Geiger, Flims, Waldhaus. Kummerly & Frey, Bern. Procede Lux-Tandem. Printed in Switzerland, advertising material.” Self-taught photographer Jules Geiger specialised in images of the Flims region in Switzerland, a popular tourist area. He became well-known for the image, depicted in this poster, of a woman in a two-piece red swimming suit leaping into a lake. Ref: Mediathek (Media Centre) Graubunden.
