c1951. Colour process lithograph, signed “Trompf [&] Ebeli” and Commonwealth Railways logo with poster no. “17” in image lower right to left, 92.1 x 63.1cm. Repaired tears and creases to upper edge of image. Linen-backed. Text continues “By the Trans-Australian Railway. Issued by the Commonwealth Railways Commissioner, 623 Collins St, Melbourne.” The illustrated locomotive bears the number “GM9.” The GM class diesel locomotives were built by Clyde Engineering, Granville, NSW for the Commonwealth Railways between 1951 and 1967.
