1976. Colour lithograph, signed and dated “’67” in image lower right, 81.7 x 101.3cm. Repaired tears and creases, and slight discolouration to margins, Linen-backed. Text includes “Washington, DC. July 1976. Crossroads, Alexander Calder.” While Calder is known “primarily as a sculptor, he also applied his interest of abstract coloured shapes to paintings such as his 1967 painting, Crossroads. This painting was reproduced as a print in 1976 to celebrate the opening of the National Air and Space Museum.” Ref: Smithsonian.
