Newspaper text includes “Melbourne: Thursday, May 23, 1935…The Minister for Health (Mr Wm. Hughes) was hardly treated with due deference when he visited Maternity Home in Brunswick yesterday. Dorothy, one of the young inmates, violently interjected when the ex-Prime Minister removed her from the floor of the house. Mr Hughes is in Melbourne to further the King’s Jubilee campaign for mother and child welfare.”
