Text continues “Paris MCMLXIV. Mourlot. Fernand Mourlot (French, 1895-1988) was the director of Mourlot Studios, specialising in fine art lithography. He became the largest printer of art posters in Europe and was often hired by major French and international museums to produce high quality posters for their exhibitions. Many of the most important artists of the 20th century, including Chagall, Matisse, Miro and Picasso, worked directly with Mourlot.
