c1929. Drypoint, annotated “Our Youth no. 1,” titled, and signed in pencil in lower margin, 27.7x 21.4cm. Slight foxing, old mount burn. Held in National Gallery of Australia. Title is most likely a play on the story “Susanna and the Elders” from the biblical Book of Daniel. Brother-in-law to Norman and Lionel, Will Dyson was married to artist Ruby Lindsay (1885-1919) who died tragically young during the influenza epidemic.
