Early Spring in February (Zao Chun Er Yue) is a 1963 Chinese film directed by Xie Tieli. Integrating art and politics was initially a challenge for Chinese filmmakers and by the 1960s they had managed to apply these concepts thematically. Early Spring in February was one of the films that was successful with achieving artistic presentation while also emphasising class struggle, the Communist revolution, nationalism and socialistic ideals.
