1906. Colour lithograph, signed in image lower right, 72.8 x 92.6cm. Repaired tears to margins, old folds. Linen-backed. Text continues “Im Kaiser-Wilhelm-Museum zu vom 5 Oct. bis 4 Nov. 1906.” Slip with amended date affixed to image lower left. A successful Dutch artist who worked in Germany, Johan Thorn Prikker’s graphic work and stained glass showed the influence of Japanese woodcuts, the Pre-Raphaelites, Art Nouveau, Expressionism, and Neo-impressionism.
