Dead Sunflowers
1984/1991. Silver gelatin photograph, titled, dated, annotated and signed in pencil in lower margin, 31.6 x 30.8cm. Slight stains and creases to margins. Annotation reads “In the collection of the Australian National Gallery.” Provenance: Olive Cotton estate. Image taken at Spring Forest, the property near Koorawatha, NSW, where Cotton and her family lived from 1951. Illustrated in Helen Ennis’ two books: Olive Cotton: photographer, 1995, p53, and Olive Cotton, 2000, p58.
