Caption and annotations include “On Bogan Gate land” and “Sowing wheat. Sketched on Paddy’s land, Bogan Gate.” Bogan Gate is a small village in Parkes Shire of the Central West of NSW, Australia. The name is “derived from the local Aboriginal word meaning ‘the birthplace of a notable headman of the local tribe.’” Ref: Wiki.
