[Swearing In Of Joseph Lyons, 10th Prime Minister And His Cabinet, Canberra]

1932. Group of five silver gelatin photographs, most signed and annotated “Canberra”, two captioned in ink on backing below image or verso, each accompanied with backing from original frame with affixed typed slip, sizes range from 10.8 x 15.2cm to 15.2 x 20.7cm. Slight silvering, minor chips to edges or pinholes to corners of some images, all laid down on original backing.

Captions include “Lyons Ministry 1932, PM’s office” and “Canberra, 6th Jan. 1932. Swearing in of Ministry.”

Slips read “One of a series of five photographs of the Federal Cabinet on the day of the Swearing-in, 5th January, 1932. These photographs were originally the property of the Deputy Prime Minister, Hon. John Latham, and they have been personally annotated by him.”
