Five Biplanes On Jetty Beach, Coffs Harbour, NSW
c1920s. Pair of vintage silver gelatin photographs, postcard format, each captioned in negative lower left, 7.8 x 12.9cm (approx. each). Minor wear to margins. Captions read “Inspecting the planes at Coffs” and “Aeroplanes at Coffs.” Both photographs, showing Tiger Moth planes, were taken on the same day from different parts of the Jetty Beach at Coffs Harbour. These planes were used for joyrides and were “equipped with a 100 bp engine…maximum speed of about 85 miles an hour.
