Walter Jardine presents the Sydney Royal Easter Show as a miniature world contained inside a split globe: the upper hemisphere lifts away while the showground, grandstands and crowded arena appear across the equator. Text includes “The only one in the world”, “The Royal Easter Show” and the dates “20th–31st March 1948”. The curved red slogan completes the visual conceit, while monumental white lettering gives the event the scale of an international spectacle. Signed by Jardine at lower left, the design promotes the Royal Agricultural Society’s major annual exhibition through a confident post-war image of livestock, competition and mass entertainment. The globe motif makes the Sydney showground appear self-contained and universal, an imaginative claim for the breadth of attractions gathered within the event.
